DeeDee is our cattery Sweetheart and can win everybody over with just a bat of her eyes!  She is a brown classic tabby and white.

This is Kota, our Sable Shaded  and White.  He is busy winning over the show crowd with his sweet looks and temperament. 

About the Breed

 In 1993 a group of breeders voted to leave the International Ragdoll Cat Association and seek recognition with established registries.  Since the cats included all colors and patterns and they signed a contract not to use the name Ragdoll, the name RagaMuffin was choosen.  The name stuck and in 1994 they became a recognized breed when they were accepted by ACFA.  In 2001 the breed gained Championship recognition with ACFA. 

RagaMuffins are classically large cats, with a slightly larger skeleton.  Females range from 10-15 lbs and males 15-20 lbs.  They are fully mature around 4 yrs of age and have a long life expectancy.   Thier coats are very soft and easy to take care of.  They are average shedders and do not matte.  As a rule RagaMufins are a strong and healthy breed.

Differences between the Ragdoll and the RagaMuffin are as follows:

• Muffins have a shorter more scooped nose.
• Their head is more curved rather than flat like a Ragdoll.
• They also are more "chubby" in apperance.
• Their ears are more tilted forward rather than out to the sides.
• Eyes are walnut shaped rather than almond.
• Hair is slightly shorter and  thicker.
• Muffins have thicker whisker pads which give them a sweet cherub looking face.
• And of course color!  Muffins can come in a variety of colors and patterns and Ragdolls are only recognized in pointed and bi-color patterns.
• Eye color- Ragdolls have blue eyes and RagaMuffins can have a variety of colors.
